The P.E.O. Sisterhood was founded on January 21, 1869 by seven students at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Today, there are over 200,000 P.E.O. sisters across the globe. Our Philanthropic Educational Organization strives to assist women in all walks of life through scholarships, loans, grants, and the stewardship of Cottey College — for a full list of our projects and philanthropy initiatives, please check out PEOINTERNATIONAL.ORG. We are passionate about celebrating, supporting, and motivating women through educational initiatives.
There are two P.E.O. Chapters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin--Chapter K and BD. Chapter K is the oldest of these chapters, founded on March 12, 1919.
Chapter K awards 3 scholarships each spring to women who live or attend school in Fond du Lac County.
